volume adjustment should be like cropping
In the audio editing programs I know - like Audacity - when I want to amplify (increase the volume) of a sound, I specify by how many decibels. But I would prefer if there was a different user interface for this. I wish that on the graph showing the sound being edited, I would get two horizontal lines, one in the upper half, the other in the lower half, placed symmetrically. And by moving them up and down, I would set from which intensity the sounds should be cut off.
