interesting superstition in Katowice
In Katowice, there are machines for buying tram tickets. They constantly have problems with spitting out coins and not accepting them. You want to buy a ticket, you insert a coin, and it doesn't accept it. You insert another one, it doesn't accept that one either. And try buying a ticket like this. Recently, I saw one girl instructing another that you need to rub the coin on the machine before inserting it, and then it will accept it. I'm curious whether this is just a superstition or if it really helps. At first glance, it seems to me like a superstition (whether I rub it or not, sometimes it accepts, sometimes it doesn't), but it would be worth looking into more closely.

Piotrku to na pewno musi byc tak: dziewczyna wie, ze pocierajac monete zwieksza oprocz temperatury rowniez jej wymiary. Automat pewnie jest zle skalibrowany i nie chce w normalnych warunkach przyjmowac. Chyba ze chodzi o ladunki elektrostatyczne.
Zreszta pisali o tym w zeszlym miesiacu w Tinie.

A u mnie w wydawnictwie pocierają tak przed wrzuceniem monety do automatu z kolą. I nie pochodzą z Katowic.

O. Więc wpadłem na trop ciekawego zwyczaju. Słuchaj, to przeprowadź badania statystyczne, czy monety pocierane przyjmują się lepiej niż niepocierane.
